A Foggy Start
August 1, 2026
Another double trip today saw Denise and her family in the morning and Bruno and his in the afternoon. Fog and a NE wind greeted us for the first trip, but it didn’t make a difference. All 4 of the group caught fish anyway! Bass, walleye, perch and pike all cane to the boat in this short 4-hour trip.
The afternoon saw flat calm, sunshine, and scorching heat. Bruno and his family managed to land bass and each of them brought a sturgeon to the boat as well. Tougher than this morning, but we still made it work! Today was an exhausting time on the water, filled with plenty of adjustments. Overall, it seemed to work out in the end and everyone had a great time. Double trip days are always the toughest!!
