With the weather finally changing, it gave us a cool start, warming throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We began by trolling for pike and walleye and caught a bunch of good ones. When the action slowed, I switched up to casting and they managed to get into bass. Dylan had never fished before, but picked everything up quickly and casted like he had done it before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The wind conditions were blowing from the west pretty good, but I ended the day with some dropshot drifting over deeper shoals. It was here that the action really picked up and both Rakesh and his son managed to catch more smallies before we were done. Overall, today was a great experience for them as they got to learn a few different techniques, catching on all. Each one had a learning curve that they picked up on quickly, putting plenty of fish in the boat. They even managed to catch several fish that they were bringing home to eat.
