Once again Jim & Marie joined me today, but this time we tried for lake trout on another lake nearby. The conditions were absolutely horrible! It was a cold 42 degrees and light drizzle all day long. The wind was from the S\/SW at 5 to 10 MPH, but it felt more like a colder north wind. The water temperature just seems to be getting colder, not warmer with these conditions. The nights are dipping into the 30\u2019s every night! Unfortunately, we scored a zero on the trout, but not for lack of trying. We had 5 trout on during the day & lost all of them! There was however a bonus smallmouth bass that went over 6 pounds landed and that was a blessing. A really tough day all in all!
