Finicky Bass Bites

Another double trip today saw Asim and his sons in the morning and Maurice with Rafiel and his grandmother in the afternoon. The morning group struggled to catch most of their fish as they were biting lightly. They all managed to land fish but unfortunately, they lost more than they caught.
Maurice and Rafiel had a similar time with the hot, flat water but did get into several more, big ones. Soft plastics accounted for all their fish as did the morning group. A combination of dropshot and casting techniques were used to entice the finicky fish into taking.
High heat and humidity will remain with us for the next several days and I will be out there in it all. Hopefully the fish will get a little more aggressive in these conditions, allowing everyone to catch plenty more big bass and walleye as well. Only time will tell!
