Bizarre Weather Day

Another double trip today with Paul, Sylvain & Brian in the morning and Tracey & Donald in the afternoon. I had all three start out with a dropshot and they stayed with this presentation the entire time. Plenty of fish were caught and missed in the 4-hour trip and a few walleye were harvested for them today. The conditions were strange to say the least with many wind changes and even a cold front that had everyone adding layers of clothes to stay warm.

The afternoon saw Tracey and Donald mostly casting soft plastics for bass. I had to adjust the bait presentation a few times before I hit the right ones, but when I did, it was on fire. They both boated many good ones and a few really great ones in the time out. We ended the day with a little dropshotting and although more fish were missed than landed, they still managed several more to their catch.

Both groups today had plenty of action in their short trips and definitely enjoyed themselves. It may have been challenging at times but in the end, it all worked out. I managed to get everyone into plenty of fish and that’s all that counts. Overall, a great double trip day!!
