I fished with Serge & his father for trout, trolling flies for a few hours on the lake and missed two. Short strikes! The air temp was in the upper 60s and the water was in the lower 60s. Overcast skies gave way to light drizzle making it difficult to fish. Damp & cold air felt like it was more like the lower 40s. We caught a few bass up to 4 pounds but shifted lakes around noon. Memphremagog wasnt much better with the waves around 3 foot fron the North. About 20 bass were caught there up to 3.5 pounds. Tough conditions for the day!!!

The morning saw another miserable, rainy, cold day in the making. We waited until the afternoon when it cleared up to go out. We fished a nearby lake for about 4 hours and caught 3 lakers trolling fly rods and about 10 bass on spinning tackle. One of the lakers became dinner for the two of us back at the room. All the smallies up to 5 pounds were released unharmed! A decent multi-species type of day!

My wife Christiane joined Tim & I on the lake today. Overnight the temperatures dipped below freezing and the morning saw cold, drizzle and N/NE winds of 10 to 20 knots. What a miserable way to spend your anniversary weekend! The water was a chilly 46 degrees. We fished until about noon with very little success. One laker was all we caught for our efforts this morning. Christiane & I went to Memphremagog in the afternoon and she caught about 10 to 15 bass in a few short hours up to 3.5 pounds. I managed to salvage that one!!!!!

Once again, Tim & I headed out to another lake in antisipation of yeaterdays success. I figured if I hit enough bodies of water, I would eventually get into a 7 pounder. Air temp in the upper 40s at the start of the day & water temps were 47 degrees. Still really cold for the bass bite, but we thought wed give it a try anyway. Winds N/NW and 10 to 20 mph. Morning bite slow, but afternoon bite with the aid of the sun picked up. About 20 bass up to & over 5 pounds were caught & released again today. Overall, a good day!

Tim & I fished again today, but on another lake this time. All I can say is BIG FISH Cold morning temps of 41 degrees and S winds of about 25 knots with stronger gusts all day long. Today a small fish was around 4 pounds. We only caught about 25 bass, but they were all big. Many over 5 pounds and a couple just under 6. One of them, on the scale went 5.15, damn! Jerk-Baits & Fin-S once again accounted for the fish. We even hooked a laker only to have it get off at the boat. Excellent Day!!!!
