Non Active Fish

Sam & Chantal couldn’t have picked a better day as far as the weather goes. Despite being a long weekend, there was also less traffic on the water than I had expected! It didn’t take long for the roof to go up with the zero wind we had and it didn’t come down until the end of the day. The fishing was consistent but we never really had the action that I expected. In fact the first half dozen fish that were caught didn’t even have any of the hooks in their mouths! They had body slammed the lures and fouled them in different body parts. It was definitely a non-active period!

We spent the day trolling under the comfort of the Bimini top and landed plenty of fish in the process. Although mostly pike, Chantal did catch her personal best walleye and it was a good one. Some of the northerns were on the larger side as well making this a great experience for them to enjoy. Overall it was a good day for fishing!
