A Real Keeper

Rich was back again today, but this time his girlfriend CC also joined him. They were in for a chilly one with the overcast skies and cool air temps. I was sure the fish would cooperate as we set out in search of a few big ones to catch.
The winds were out of the N/NW, but at least they weren’t big. I had hoped for a little sun and that’s all we would be getting! Cloud and cold was gong to be the best we could do today as we started on our first spot. About an hour after we began, we had only one bass for our troubles. I decided to make a long run to another area, where I knew some good fish would be holding.
It didn’t take but one cast before CC was into a good smallie. This was just the start as I knew there were plenty more to come! From that point on, both Rich and CC hooked into many more bass throughout the day. Not all were big but there were definitely some good-sized ones in the mix. I think CC caught most of the larger fish in the time we fished here. She was just on fire with the big ones today!
With limited time remaining, I made one final stop for walleye. Between the two, the managed to get 3 smaller ones before we were done.
Today may have started out cold but the fishing was definitely hot! Rich and CC caught plenty of good fish, with top honors going to a woman once again. I know Rich was proud of her and all the big ones she landed on this chilly day. She definitely held her own and never skipped a beat. Except for the short break for lunch, she never stopped throughout the day. She’s definitely a keeper!!
