Dead Calm Conditions

Ming & his son Hugo were with me this morning, along with his sister and her husband. We began the morning trolling and despite the flat calm conditions, still managed to catch a few pike. They were wanting to cast so I didn’t stay long and headed to another area to accommodate them. Here we managed to get into both walleye and bass and remained until their trip was done. Half days go so quickly and before we knew it, we were on our way back to the docks to take out.

Although the fishing may have been slower than I wanted, the results were as expected. Flat calm, bright sun and plenty of floating weeds made for a tough troll. We were forced to cast for most of the fish that were boated today. Plenty of other strikes were missed too! Still a great time out on the water!!
