Mother Nature’s Misery

I fished with Tim & Christiane today on another lake for trophy sized smallmouth bass. The weather wasn’t going to cooperate once more! We had a steady drizzle with intermittent showers and cold N/NE winds of 10 to 15 MPH. The water temps were holding around 44 to 45 degrees and another cold front was upon us again. To say the fishing was slow would have been an understatement! Christiane was the only one to land a bass on a jerk-bait. I had a few hits and some follows, but only got into one big fish and lost it after about 5 seconds. I know it was another lunker! By 1:30 we had had enough and decided to call it quits. I should have opted for Memphremagog on this miserable day, but thought we could get some more trophies like we did a couple of days before. I wish mother nature would be more pleasant.
